Test drive a Mercedes with this racing simulation.

You are plonked behind the wheel of a Mercedes so that you may drive around the streets. You may achieve your personal best lap, or you may race against five other drivers. There are races at night, and you can enjoy a little bit of sightseeing as you speed along.

Take A Dream Test Drive

The only type of car you may choose is the Mercedes, though that was probably a given when you consider the name of the game. You can customize your car a little, though most of the customizations are similar options to those available if you bought the real car. They are things such as the colour and the wheels.

How Hard Do You Want It?

Set the game to the difficulty level of your choosing. There is easy, medium and hard to choose from. There is no driver in the game because you are the driver, and the car seems to be unaffected by crashes, which one assumes is part of the game propaganda in bias of the car.

Boo For The Tracks

The racing tracks are not very good. They have made it so that you cannot mount the kerb. You feel a little like a rat in a cage. Beyond the track, you can see the lovely sights of the city. For example, if you play the game for free, you can see London landmarks in the background. The tracks are so uninspired that it encourages boring driving. It is almost as if they want you to drive sensibly, despite the fact you are trying to race.

The Game Is Too Easy

Racing against the AI is outright stupid because they are too easy to beat. It is obviously part of the Mercedes propaganda. They want you to know that if you buy a Merc, then you are going to come first every time (the marketing writes itself). The company could have put a lot more into the game. If they had bothered to make it good, then people would be on social media talking about it, and they would spend days looking at the back of their Mercedes car whilst they drive.

If they had made the game good, people may have grown attached to the Mercedes brand and bought one (either now or when they grew up). Instead, the game isn’t worth more than an hour of your time.

Pros

  • Nice sightseeing
  • Reasonably good graphics
  • Do not worry about crashes

Cons

  • Car handling is a little too sharp
  • It is a piece of Mercedes propaganda more than anything else
  • The tracks are really uninspired
